ARK HIVE HEN HAVEN & DUCK SOCIAL CLUB
🐥 Chicks & Quackers Visitor Agreement 🦆
At Ark Hive Hen Haven, we love sharing the joy of our friendly chickens and ducks with visitors. Our birds are gentle, curious, and full of personality, but they are also fragile and easily startled. To ensure a safe, happy, and enjoyable experience for both our guests and our flock, we kindly ask you to follow these important guidelines.
🐔 Respect for Our Feathered Friends
Our birds may see you as a treat-giver and come over to say hello. They might peck at your shoes, hop on a perch nearby, or even give you a curious nudge. While their pecks are not meant to hurt, small children or unfamiliar visitors may be startled and instinctively react. Striking or harming a bird—intentionally or by accident—is strictly not allowed.
✨ Parents & guardians, please help prepare young children to be calm, gentle, and patient with our birds. Teaching them to move slowly and speak softly will help create a peaceful and positive experience for all.
🚫 No Loud Noises, Running, or Rough Play
Sudden movements and loud noises can stress the birds, which not only affects their well-being but can also slow egg production and even cause blood spots in eggs.
To protect our flock, we follow a simple “Shout and You’re Out” policy. If a guest yells, chases, grabs, or acts aggressively toward a bird, they will be asked to leave the enclosure immediately.
🐣 Handling & Interaction
-
Chasing or picking up birds is not allowed unless guided by staff.
-
Birds can be fast or stand right in your way—please walk slowly and watch out for their tiny feet!
-
If you’d prefer to admire the birds without close interaction, you are welcome to watch from outside the pen.
